The Selection Committee for the Open Call of the Female Art Rising Festival
Kristina Ljevak Bajramović was born in Sarajevo in 1980. She completed the study of comparative literature. She has been working as a journalist, columnist and editor for various media for the past twenty-four years. For years she was an editor in a publishing house and in various ways was involved in the work of numerous artistic projects, primarily literary festivals in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region. She is dedicated to the promotion of LGBT rights, women's rights and independent art. Kristina is the co-author of the traveling exhibition "Between Four Walls", which she designed with photographer Aida Redžepagić, produced by Europe House, dedicated to the authentic experiences of women who have survived various forms of violence. Her narrowest field of interest, when it comes to art, is related to feminist art practice and theory.
Adna Muslija is the co-founder and curator of the Contemporary Art Gallery Manifesto. She has a master's degree at the Academy of Fine Arts at the Teaching Department, majoring in painting, and is currently completing a two-subject master's program in History of Art and Comparative Literature. In addition to her own artistic practice and numerous local and international exhibitions, she was a member of several curatorial teams. So far, she has curated ten solo and group exhibitions. Her texts in the field of art/literary theory and criticism have been published in several recognized magazines and publications.
Alen Drljević graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo in 2005. His graduation film PAYCHECK was nominated for the European Film Academy Award for Best Short Film. His debut feature documentary CARNIVAL was screened at the most important documentary film festivals IDFA in two selections: “First Appearance” and “Movies that Matter”. His debut feature film MEN DON'T CRY premiered at Karlovy Vary Film Festival’s Main Competition Program, where it won two awards: Special Jury Award and Europa Cinemas Label Award. Subsequently, the film was screened at dozens of international film festivals and won more than twenty awards. He directed three episodes of the feature series I KNOW YOUR SOUL. The first two episodes, which he directed, premiered in the official selection of Venice Film Festival 2023. He lives and works in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Nikolina Todorović is a graduate in comparative literature, poet and literary critic. She is the winner of the Mak Dizdar 2021 award, which is awarded by the Slovo Gorčina literary event in Stolac for the best first unpublished book of poems. Her poems have been translated into English, French, Russian and Gaelic. She is a researcher on the History of Queer Life in BiH project, which is organized and managed by the Sarajevo Open Center, and writes literary criticism, reviews, comments and analyzes for several domestic and regional portals.
